Ever wanted your RP characters to suddenly burst into song?

I sure have!

I was thinking about making a musical/opera RP here on Livejourrnal.

Recently, I searched for one that was already made, but I couldn't find one...

I think it'd be a good idea...

But maybe that’s because I’m obsessed with 'Repo!
Yesterday, my friend Brooke came over and we made fairy wings for her Halloween costume, since those crappy fairy wings you get at the store cost $20 or more in adult sizes. (They figure they can charge extra because teens and adult don't do Halloween much). They came out great! I got a picture. it cost about $30 dollars to make them (though a lot of tyhe materials were on sale), but they came out better than any store-bought ones could have.

Materials:
Wire hangers
Knee Highs
Electrical Tape
Hot Glue
Acryllic Paint
Ribbon
Glitter
Fake Flowers

no longer be posting memes on my personal journal. They're causing LJ-cutless, Friends Page cluttering shit to happen over at KKM.

One thing I hate about memes is how they NEVER STAY PRIVATE. I know that's kind of their point, but if I wanted this on KKM, I would have posted it as Edaniel or Malik, not on my personal journal.

REALLY now.

From now on, all the memes over on KKM are those kiddies fault, not mine. I can't believe I'm responsible for this shit overwhelming my Friends Page.

This sucks. Cause I really love memes. I just hate how they... catch on.

BEWARE INTERNET EXPLORER 8!!!

My computer has broken down again. Just a day after it was fixed for a freezing problem. This time, Microsoft itself is at fault.

I had my automatic updates on, and it installed Internet Explorer 8, without my permission. By the time I got back to my computer, it had finished installing, and was asking me to restart my computer. I figured nothing of it, and pressed "Restart".

I now no longer can get into my computer. A black screen comes ups after the Dell splash screen, saying to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to try starting again. If you do, it goes back to the dell splash page, then goes to the black error page again. It's an endless cycle!

How did this happen, you ask? Simple. Internet Explorer 8 is chalk full of bugs, causing anything from computer lag, to complete system failure. And yet, Microsoft considers this IE update a "Critical Update". This causes users, automatic update activated or not, to immediately trust the program, thinking nothing's wrong, only to end up with a glitched computer.

Not all computers are getting these kind of problems. Newer computers are having success with the program, though their system may run a bit slower. It's older computers (3 to 4 or more years old) at the highest risk. These updates Microsoft's putting out recently are meant for newer computers, and by new, I mean less than 3 or 4 years old, depending on how nice you've been to your computer. Even so, there are cases of newer computers- even Vistas- having major problems with IE8.

The bottom line? All computers are at risk, some more than others, and it's a risk that could cause irreparable damage to your system.

So, how can you avoid ending up like me, and the thousands of other people with problems caused by IE8? Here's a few steps:

TURN OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES - You don't want your computer installing IE8 while you're not looking. Turn this feature off by going to the control panel and going to automatic updates, and set it to "Notify me but don't automatically download or install them". Fact is, there are so updates you may need, such a security, but you should always research an update before you install it. It may have caused other people's to computers to malfunction.

DO NOT INSTALL IE8 WHEN PROMPTED - Even if it classifies it as a 'critical update'! This so-called 'critical update' is also a 'seriously bugged update' and you don't need it on your computer. Frankly, even when the bugs do get worked out a few months from now, you still don't NEED it. It only has a few new features, and they're not ones you urgently need, even the security features.

BACKUP YOUR HARDDRIVE - Just in case it gets installed somehow- a sibling plays on your computer, your dad watches his porn collection, etc, etc...

WAIT - Eventually, these bugs will be fixed- Microsoft is aware of this problem, but because it works on some computers, they can't recall it. They just have to update the update, fixing the bugs. The bugs should be worked out in 6 months at most.

DO NOT INSTALL INTERNET EXPLORER 8!!!

PLEASE POST A LINK TO THIS ENTRY ON YOUR JOURNAL SO WE CAN GET THE MESSAGE OUT TO EVERYONE!!! It's the only sincere, non-whiny, non-funny icoin I have :P Wish I knew who made it though! :(

BEST. ICON. EVER. I use this EVERYWHERE now, even on non YGO comms. It suppossed to be a joke, but for me it's more ironic, being on medicine and all. Being able to laugh at my illnesses like this is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes. But even so, this icon isn't serious for me what-so-ever. THE VOICES ARE MY FREINDS!!!

Ah... this. I uploaded it during the RP3 drama about 6 months ago, and have many used it once or twice since. I don't take it down though. As much as I don't want to, it may be useful again sometime...

The ladies over at RP3 should remember this one. I used it for Malik while i still had him. This was uploaded to milleniumkeeperduring the Mako Incident, which was very disturbing for poor Malik. (Mako x Zigfried... *shudder*) I've used it for a "WTF" icon on my account ever since.

I got this off some TokyoPop user's gallery, but forgot who.
Wig dilemma...

Okay guys, I need your help. I'm planning to cosplay Zigfried Von Schroeder, and I'm having a bit of a dilemma with the wig.

I found a wig while searching Cosmates, after hearing news that the lolita 'brand' (And I use that term lightly) FanPlusfriend was being sold there for dirt cheap. I usually stay away from Cosmates, as they sell the crappy lolita 'brand' (once again, used lightly) Bodyline, along with cheap cosplay, and costume-lingerie, but that the were selling F+F intrigued me, and got me searching. I then found this little beauty:

Only $23! Even with the shipping and customs (which I'm sure I'll be charged) if I buy it, it's still a deal. (Or at least it seemed like that at the time I found it....)

Thge bangs were a problem though. I couldn't help but wonder if they were styled that way with gel or hair spray and might not be able to straighten. I contacted Cosmates though and they assured me that the bangs could be brushed/styled/straightened/cut in any way I pleased.

The wig would require cutting of course, but that's no big deal, as I have many friends in the Cosmetology class at school, whose GPA depends on how well they can cut and style hair. Who better to ask? And if that doesn't work, my friend John's mother is a hair stylist, and I can always ask her to do it.

But a few days later, I was searching the marketplace over at Cosplay.com and came across this...

$25... a little more than the wig at Cosmates, but I wouldn't have to pay customs for this one, just tax and shipping, so it might actually end up a little less than the Cosmates one in the end.

This one makes it easier for me in that it's already cut to have cheek-length side bangs, and is the right color. There's problem's with it though...

First of all, the bangs. I PMed the seller and asked her if the bangs could be brushed straight, and she replied saying she'd tried, but they were rather bent on staying parted, and would take a good amount of styling to straighten. Also, the wig IS used, and is stringy, and unkept. I don't know if they are tangles of DOOM or anything amidst those fibers...

So... Pro VS. Con wise, I'm even. Totally divided. I don't know what to choose!

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
PLEASE HELP ME MAKE A CHOICE!!!

So... today is a Snow Day...

And so was yesterday...

And the day before that...

We also had a 5 day weekend right before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, when we had the Thursday and Friday of the previous week as snow days, then had Saturday and Sunday, then had Monday off for aforementioned national holiday, and then Tuesday was also a Snow Day...

There are so many Tennesseans throwing tomatoes at Al Gore right now. And a lot of angry school teachers are ready to bitch out Knox County School board, too, I'm sure...

Not that I am able to fully enjoy this fortunate set of events- last Thursday I left school, feeling ill. I woke up Friday morning, and I could hardly talk, breathe, or drink, and eating was pretty much out of the question. My throat burned, and I was drowning in mucus. Every time I tried to open my mouth, it hurt. I honestly don't think I've ever felt that much pain before. Then again, I hardly ever get sick or injured, and as for my habit of walking into doors, walls and furniture (my meds kill my balance), I've grow used to the heavy blows to the head and knees...

I went to the doctor Friday and she said I had a sinus infection and an ear infection (the ear infection is just seasonal; I got one last year too around this time). She said I may possibly have strep throat, but she doubted it.

That night I actually googled for a list of foods I could eat when i have a sore throat that didn't hurt... There weren't many, but at least they were treats I usually don't get to eat much: Pears, peaches, pudding, jello, sherbet... It probably sounds cool to actually have NO CHOICE but to eat those foods- or else eat nothing- but in reality, after one day of that diet I was like "Eh. Whatever. Got anything else?". It gets old fast.

I guess it wasn't strep throat because the anti-biotics have worked, and I feel way better now. I can eat, though I'm still trying to keep to the soft foods; I don't want to possible make things worse by drinking milk (apparently milk creates more mucus... God, I miss drinking milk so bad! And orange juice too!) or any other foods I'm suggested not to eat.

I still sound pretty bad when I cough... But believe me, it feels so good to get all that mucus-shit out of my throat! I hope I can get back to school soon... I miss hanging out with my friends...

In other news, my dog Fiona seems to have hurt her leg by slipping on some ice yesterday morning (Stupid dog runs at a fucking 90mph where ever she goes...) We thought it might heal on its own, but she was still holding her leg up when i woke up this morning to find her prancing around on my bed (She sleeps in my bed now, and it pretty calm once she's settled, but god forbid she should wake up before me...).

I realize now I never posted my list of Christmas presents... It wasn't much- mostly money, but I did get 2 DVDs: Kamikaze Girls and the Discovery Channel series "The NASA Missions: When We Left Earth". I got some books: Et Cetera Vol. 9, and Princess Ai Color-Me-Manga (I only bought them so I could scan them into my computer and color them digitally XD) and Princess Ai Comic Collection. I got a t-shirt (black with gothic roses all over it! Wheee!) and a big-ass make up kit, which I am currently in love with. I also got a gothic cross necklace which I've been dying for for over a year now...

I also got gift cards and such, which I used to buy the latest issue of The Gothic & Lolita Bible, from Tokyopop and Bizenghast Vol. 9, and THE NEW U.S. SPECIAL EDITION 2 DISC RELEASE OF THE ALBUM OPHELIAC BY EMILIE AUTUMN!!!

I think it's safe to say I'm in love with Bizenghast. I don't care what people say about it being an American manga, or that the art style is weird, it's a fucking awesome series that deserve way more credit than it gets. Kudos to M. Alice LeGrow for making such a wonderful series!!!
